Payment Plan 2.0

Payment plans don't have a dedicated "behavior". They are managed by SC as time-limited subscription, which is not the right philosophy : they should be considered as split one-off payments. Consequences are : - lack of clarity about information at checkout and emails (need to customize everything to clarify how things work, total amount due, etc. - lack of clarity for clients on customer dashboard - lack of clarity in accounting (each installment is a new order, rather than an iteration of the same order / each payment is not clearly attached to the original order/ ...) - lack of flexibility for orders (impossible to delay a payment due when a client needs it) - problem with mixed digital / physical products (I reported that one in this thread : I sent a notebook with the initial order, I had to find a hack to mix physical and digital, adding the notebook to the basket automatically, which is not ideal). Some of my suggestions : - create a new specific behavior (3 types of payment = 3 behaviors : One-off / Payment Plan / Subscription) - create suborders for each installment, rather than a new order - have transparent naming for customers and merchants, such as "Product Name - Payment X out of N" - bring this Payment X out of N information to Stripe
